Last chance to have a say on GP appointments
The Clinical Commissioning Groups in County Durham have asked us to look into how well the new "care navigation" service in GP practices is working.
Care navigation is the system where trained, non-clinical staff talk to patients when they ring to book an appointment, providing information about the professionals or services that may be suitable for their needs. This booklet from Weardale Practice is a useful guide to how it works.
Our role is to carry out an independent, confidential evaluation of care navigation and your feedback about the system is vital to identify where it is working and where it could be improved.
Please share your thoughts via our short online survey. All responses will remain anonymous. The survey closes on 28 February 2019.
