Still time to share your views on the future of BAGH ward 6

There’s still time for you to share your thoughts with us on the future of ward 6 at Bishop Auckland General Hospital. We’re gathering feedback on the ward, and ideas for different future service models, to share with County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust (CDDFT) which runs the hospital. They will be using independent findings to help develop a model of care that will best meets the need of local people in the future.

Everyone who was cared for by ward 6 between April 2017 and February 2019 should have received a letter from the Trust inviting them to complete a survey about their care.

So far more than 100 people have shared their experiences with us but the survey is open until the end of May so there is still plenty of time to contribute. If you need extra support to complete the survey please call our team for free on 0800 304 7039.

We will also be visiting the ward at the end of May to speak directly to current patients, family members and staff about their experiences and to make independent observations that will inform our report.

Our team will also be available in the coffee shop at Bishop Auckland General Hospital from 2pm to 4pm on 29 May for members of the public to drop in and talk to us. You can also contribute feedback by email, our contact form, or by calling our team on 0800 304 7039 if you have a view on the future of the ward.

Our final report will be available on this website from July and we will keep you updated as soon as we have any response from CDDFT.
