Do you think mental health services are working?
When we asked you what you’d like us to work on next, you told us mental health services were one of your biggest priorities – and now we want to know more!
Effective, timely support is vital to help people with mental health problems manage their conditions. Recent governments have promised to increase support for mental health services, but are services in this region working?
If you, or a loved one, has used mental health services we’d like to hear about your experiences. What worked, what didn’t, and what would you do to improve services? Maybe you feel there is gap in services that needs to be filled or perhaps something worked so well for you that you think more services should do the same.
We’ll be sharing our findings based on your feedback with local clinical commissioning groups and NHS Trusts to help them improve services for the future. Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust, which is responsible for many mental health services across County Durham, has already told us it is very interested in hearing what you have to say.
Whether it’s about talking therapies, inpatient services, crisis teams, or any other mental health support, your views can help to make a difference. And you can be sure that anything you tell us will be held in the strictest confidence.
