Have Your Say: Adult Social Care in County Durham
Adult Social Care supports adults who may need additional help to maintain their independence, wellbeing and quality of life. This can include support for older people, disabled adults, people living with long-term health conditions, those experiencing mental health challenges, and unpaid carers. Services can range from practical support at home and residential care to information, advice and community-based support.
Accessing the right information at the right time can make a significant difference, particularly when people are facing changes in their health, caring responsibilities, or personal circumstances. However, finding out what support is available is not always straightforward, and experiences can vary from person to person.
We welcome feedback from anyone for this survey. The feedback gathered will help Healthwatch County Durham build a better understanding of local experiences and identify opportunities to improve communication and information sharing. The findings will be shared with Durham County Council and may contribute to its wider review of Adult Social Care communications and information provision.
