About Healthwatch County Durham
What we do
Healthwatch County Durham is an independent champion for people who use health and social care services in our area. We listen to your experiences (good and bad) and share what we hear with those who design, deliver and fund local services.
Our goal is simple: to make sure your voice shapes the care you receive.
Whether it’s a compliment, concern, or suggestion, every piece of feedback helps improve local health and care services.
Each local Healthwatch, including us, is commissioned by the local authority and independent from Healthwatch England.
How we work:
- Listen to what’s working and what could be improved.
- Share your views with providers, commissioners, and regulators such as the Care Quality Commission and Healthwatch England.
- Act for change by using our power to visit services (Enter & View) and see how they really work.
- Keep you involved when services are changing, so your experiences shape future decisions.
