Informative CPR Video for Deaf People

St John's Ambulance have released a BSL accessible video to demonstrate how to carry out emergency CPR.

The CPR Community Network is a partnership between St John's Ambulance and the NHS, supported by the Association for Ambulance Chief Executives (AACE), who represent Ambulance Trusts, British Heart Foundation (BHF) and Resuscitation Council UK (RCUK).

The CPR Community Network wants to ensure that no one dies through lack of Emergency First Aid provision or resources, in their local area and in their community. Because of this, St John's Ambulance released a range of resources which are aimed at empowering communities and increasing their ability to respond and give basic life support.

The latest resource released is a video which helps Deaf people know what to do if they find someone in cardiac arrest. This includes carrying out a primary survey, giving effective CPR, contacting emergency help and using an AED (defibrillator). It also features Deaf Actor, Alex Nowak, and Deaf/Hard of Hearing First Aiders.
