Enter and View - The Goodall Centre
This report presents the findings from our authorised representatives' 'Enter and View' visit to The Goodall Centre on 28th January 2025, where they gathered valuable feedback from service users.
Our trained representatives went into The Goodall Centre, Bishop Auckland to get feedback from the patients using the adult community mental health service. Service users and staff shared a range of experiences and feedback with us on the day and also sent feedback.
Recommendations
- Staff follow up on what has been agreed-making sure that staff update users regularly regarding meeting what has been offered especially around referrals.
- Ensure users understand and are reassured that complaining is encouraged and would not affect ongoing care detrimentally.
- There is a need to ensure each service user has a copy of their care plan, either electronically or by hard copy.
- The service should look at ways of communicating how the service now operates, more clearly.
- Improve general decoration of rooms and especially the reception intercom system, parking and signage.
